Polo player, Nacho Figueras, was ready to launch his first fragrance. After many years gracing the ads of Polo Ralph Lauren, he was ready to make his mark on the beauty industry.

THE VISION
We collaborated very closely with Nacho on creating his fragrance and packaging designs. Being a polo player and a world traveler, it was very important to him that we tie into his equesterian background, while creating sleek and modern designs. He wanted to create something to support the charity, Sentebale.
WE TOOK GREAT INSPIRATION FROM THE ARCHITECTURE OF HIS STABLES.

PACKAGING
We chose to focus the design on the horseshoe as it relates to the equestrian lifestyle, but also has notions of good luck. The bottle form is an extruded horseshoe shape, with in-layed stones that tie into each region. The cap is heavily weighted and magnetic, so it snaps into place creating a very tactile experience.

We also took great inspiration from the architecture of his stables in Argentina. The fluted glass and black iron front plate are materials and forms that can be seen throughout his space. Each fragrance is tied to a specific region that Nacho has traveled with his greatest muse, his wife Delfina, as well as his children. Each bottle and fragrance reflects the various persona’s of each location.
The collection of 6 fragrances are each housed in custom reusable hinged boxes with magnetic closures. While the outside is subtle in matte black, to the mirror the iron finish his stables, the inside mimics the custom stone visuals that represent each scent. The boxes can be kept to house and showcase the bottles or the vac form can be removed and the box becomes a keepsake. Being authentic is of high importance to Nacho. With this, the advertising for each fragance showcases a collection of images that feature his traves and are mainly derived from pictures that take you on the journey together with him and his family.
